Much aka BoKoo's original roots were based in acoustic jazz and rock terrain before discovering his love for electronic music. In the eighties and nineties he discovered an affinity to synth-pop. Infected by those electronic sounds he took some initial steps in songwriting by combining Dub or Drum'n'Bass with accoustic instuments. After some trips into the Goa- and Techno szene, he took part in concerts as part of the Jörg Hanke and Dirk Blankenhaus project „Licht“.

BoKoo's 2001 Homebrew EP „Plus“ made its way by stealth into the underground via Clubs in Ibiza.
